My target audience is aimed at people aged 11-60 This is because this is the age where most people use Netflix. So if they can’t decide on what film or show to watch, they can watch my videos.
My product is a service that helps Netflix members to choose what film/ tv show they are going to watch
There is too much choice on Netflix, and people do not have enough time to sit and go through each trailer and review for a potential thing they want to watch.
I will record my video at home in either my room or the office with a plain backdrop.

10- Evaluating the impact of enterprise skills in researching, developing ideas and producing a brief

Throughout all my research I have worked very independently, making sure all my blogs are submitted on time, and making sure they are up to standard. Self motivation was also applied when submitting my blogs, as each blog had a deadline that it had to be done by, in which I had to motivate myself to get it done in time. Research skills were used  again when writing up my blogs. For example, in my primary, secondary and market research, I had to find out information about my target audience, and whether there were gaps in the market etc. Initiative was used when a problem arised such as when one of my peers was ill when we had planned to to record the discussion of my idea, so I had to quickly find a replacement to fill in. Teamwork skills have been applied when filming discussion videos or audios, as well as us all having to compromise to find a suitable time of when it will be filmed. My written communication skills have been tested a lot whilst posting these blogs, as I have had to not only research information and put it into my own words but also, come up with a creative digital media product/ service and write out my own information about it. Finally, problem solving has been applied only when working in teams, as I have had to find a replacement for my discussion vlog as one of my peers was unfortunately ill and could not make it in.

I beleive that my primary research was important for me, as it helped me brainstorm and think of my  ideas, and the secondary research helped me further develop my ideas, so that I could turn them into a digital media product. Both blog post 8 & 9, assisted me with putting the finishing peices together on my product, making it ready to be filmed, and posted to the public.

7- Market Research

My product is a new youtube channel which will make deciding what film or tv show to watch on Netflix much easier. I will post monthly videos showing what the 5 best Netflix films and 5 best Netflix tv shows were in my opinion for that month.

Why is it successful?

Simple video, so it doesn't need lots of special effects and visuals. It also gets straight to the point, which is a good quality for the audience so they dont lose interest. It also gives the plot of the film, so that the audience can decide whether it appeals to them or not

why is it successful?
Short video so we don't loose interest, and he specifies what exact season and explains it, rather than giving an overview of the whole series. It is also fit for its purpose, and does what it says on the title.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnjt7UUTMOQ

Why is it successful?
She gives her own opinions on it rather than just explaining the plot, and she also talks to the camera/audience rather than doing a voiceover using a direct mode of address. It is yet again fit for purpose and she explains what shows she recommends the audience should watch.

Where is the gap in the market?
I believe that there is a gap in the market for film reviewing. This is because, many different people have their own ways of making a film review channel/ video, and they all use different approaches. However, if all of these approaches are applied, then we should be left with a review channel much better than any of the others. So, for example, it will include a ratings meter for different categories of the film (e.g 4/5 stars for jumpscares or gore), it will also include a direct mode of address, so the audience can see me.

6- Consumer Research

My primary target audience would be both male and females, with the social class ABC1 and C2DE, as anyone can access Netflix and youtube as long as they have an account. The age range would also be from 11+, as this is when most kids start going onto Netflix and youtube to watch videos. The pyschographics of my Youtube channel would be either the mainstream, or the struggler, as they are the main target audiences in this situation, and spend most of their time either on Netflix or Youtube.

Needs
- One need for my primary target audience is that they need to know certain information about the films i'm reviewing. For example, if they are at home and cannot decide what to watch on Netflix, they come to my channel and watch my videos because they need to know what film to watch.

Wants
- One want my target audience should have is that they should want to come back to my channel/videos. If they found a video useful or helpful, with an honest review of the film/ show then my audience should want to come back to my channel for more videos.

Desires
- A desire that my audience may have, is that they may desire for me to specialize in other genres rather than focusing on one. Because then this will give my audience a bigger range/ choice to choose from.

Preferences
My audience uses 3 out of 4 of the uses and gratifications. For example, information is provided in the reviews of the films and shows, so my audience are aware of what the plot is etc. Entertainment is also used, as my audience are getting the option of watching the film or series for their own entertainment/satisfaction. Social interaction is again used, as they have the option to subscribe to my channel, leave a like or dislike, ad even add a comment to my video for the public to see.
